The Rubber Dress!

Hello viewers!
Has anyone seen Katy Perry's new look, "the rubber dress"?
I decided to post the collection of them so far.
Do you like them?
Do you hate them?
You can vote on the poll on the side of this blog.

  1. The second dress, the stripy one, isn't rubber. its actually wool and lycra. It's by Herve Leger. I love the rubber dresses though. good post!

  2. Back in the 80s, when I was young and thin and wild, I wore rubber clothes, too. I have to tell you that they are really hard to get looking so shiny. You need to pack them away in baby powder (so the dress won't stick to itself -- I ruined a piece of latex clothes that way, by not packing it away well enough), and so when you put it on, getting it all nicely shined up is a big nuisance. Katy Perry undoubtedly has an assistant shining her up (I used to get someone to shine me, too).

The other thing about rubber clothes is how much they make you sweat. Sweat will literally pour down you. I got latex stockings because I loved the look, but I only wore them once because the sensation of having my feet in a puddle of sweat inside them was so horrible.

I think they look great, and I hope you enjoyed these insights into the rubber dress experience.

  3. Disagree about the sweat, maybe if she's performing a massive dance routine though - Only cheap rubber clothes are hard to shine, I doubt if Katy Perry will have crap stuff made for her
