Ok so gotta make this quick because Santa's almost here! (I REALLY REALLY BELIEVE IN SANTA)

I had a big mixup and didn't hear about the three days of halloween post/300th post until it was too late! I apologize completely.

I agree entirely with what Isobel said about our friendship and this blog, but I want to second that by saying that so many people do read our blog which is amazing, but beyond that the blog is still around no matter how many readers or followers or viewers we have, and the bond is still there. As much as I do love that people actually read our blog, it isn't essential at all, because we made this blog to have a lasting friendship and it has entirely succeeded. I don't think we would have stopped posting had nobody ever gone to this site, and if nobody ever reads this message then I don't care. Frankly I don't think we could stop posting because it would be too heartbreaking and emotional. This page has a life on it's own, and it holds us all together. I love the fact that we have a blog and I love the fact that we both post on it so much.

It's a great luxury to have so many awesome readers as we do, and don't think that I take that for granted. I remember having conversations about our followers, Isobel and I, and how awesome they were, and how we practically threw a party when we got our 20th follower. You guys are great, and it's an amazing feeling to put something out there that's a message you just want to be heard, and then know that it is being heard. I wish everybody could follow everybody on the internet, because then we would have what, 7 billion followers? That's crazy and amazing and a bit heartbreaking to think about.

I encourage everybody to get a website, get a book, get some way to make your voice heard, and then yell. it's never a waste of time.

Hello darling viewers,

This isn't the first halloween post, but it IS a even more important post. This is the 300th post! Now this isn't going to be funny, but I really wanted to make this post special. I just wanted to tell you guys how much I love you and our blog. This blog means soooooo much to me. Not only is it fun to write, create and have fun with, but it is truly the one way me and Iris stay best friends. If you haven't already heard the story, go to "About Us". But to make a summary, me and Iris met in kindergarten, were best friends all year long, until I had to move across the country. That was five, six years ago. We wanted to stay friends, so we created this blog. We had no idea it would get so many viewers and be this popular. We have had fun for so long writing posts for you guys, and are STILL best friends, even though we only see each other once a year. SO, I just wanted to say thanks for reading our blog and congratulate our friendship and our blog. Without our viewers, we probably would have stopped this blog a long time ago!

I truly am sooooooooooo sorry I haven't been posting lately. I've been so busy with middle school and homework and all that. At the moment, I am terribly sick... My father got sick first, then my mother, then my sister and now me. It's plowed through my whole family. My throat feels horrible. I'm eating lots of honey to heal it though. And what's even worse is that today at school I missed photo day retake, exploding crayons and tons of work. The only thing good about today is that two days ago Pirates of the Caribbean 4 came out and now Mummy and me are going to watch it.

Runaways

The Runaways are this really awesome comic book series about 6 kids who discover their parents are super villains, which leads them into the whole Marvel universe and they become wide known superheroes. It's kind of a modern play on traditional superhero comics--with really amazing art and writing. Well anyways there are plans to make it into a movie, which I would be really excited for. But you know their publisher, Marvel, only makes a certain amount of movies every year... And so even though the script Has been written and they've already begun filming, people are saying it's probably not going to come out until 2014. I sö hope that they're wrong...

So pretty much Runaways is just this amazing comic that everybody should read and force marvel to make into a movie! But I have to say the movie will either suck suck suck and not do the books justice, or be really amazing. If you do read them, though, do it in order starting from #1. The plot is really twisty and well-constructed so don't spoil anything for yourself!

This is very random, but I will tell you this any way. So, today I was hanging outside, gardening with my mum and walking around on the deck. My cat was there too, and we were all standing together. Then a fly lands on the pot right next to my cat, and he jumps into the air about five feet high, runs in circles and then bolts down the stairs and through the door with his tail all puffy.

I think you people would find it interesting to know that today is Martha Graham's 117th birthday! You probably already saw the google animation, but I thought you might want to know some more about her:

Martha Graham was a modern dancer and choreographer, and if you've never heard of her--her impact on dance is comparatively the same as Picasso's on the visual arts. She danced and taught people to dance for over 70 years. She accomplished things such as being the first dancer ever to perform at the White House, and winning the highest possible USA civilian award--the Presidential Medal of Freedom. Among her other awards she also received the Key to the City of Paris, and the Japanese Imperial Order of the Precious Crown. In 1936, she accomplished her most famed production, "Chronicle." She was also famous for quotations people have taken from her, such as this one, which she said to Agnes de Mille after her musical Oklahoma! came out, 'There is a vitality, a life force, an energy, a quickening that is translated through you into action, and because there is only one of you in all of time, this expression is unique. And if you block it, it will never exist through any other medium and it will be lost. The world will not have it. Some information about him:

Bob Marley was born on Feb. 6, 1945 and died on May 11, 1981. He was a Jamaican reggae singer, who sung about social issues in his homeland. He was half black and half white, and his dad died when he was ten. He smoked weed and he belonged to the Rastafari movement (a religion that was a key element in reggae music.) He had twelve children, three with his wife Rita, two adopted from Rita's previous relationships and seven more with seven other women. He died of cancer when it spread through his body. He was on his way to his home, Jamaica , but he died in Miami. He died with his son Ziggy at age 36. His final words to Ziggy were "Money can't buy life."

I personally think he is very inspiring and that you should be constantly listening to him.

Hello peoples!
I am so sorry I haven't been able to post lately.

Today, I am sick. I feel awful. I cannot say a sentence without coughing up my guts. I haven't gone to school for the past two days. I am sneezing constantly and I am miserable. On the bright-side I get to watch lots of fun movies! On Sunday I watched "The Bourne Identity", It was amazing! On Monday I watched Marie Antoinette for the fourth time, it was fantastic! Today I plan to watch Nemo, The Lion King, The Bourne Supremacy or something else. Well, I have to go take I shower... ugh. Goodbye!

Well, so far ski week has been a total UN-success because the good part of the whole week has been spent with me having an earache, fever and really bad cold so I can't even enjoy it! The one good thing that has happened so far (and vacation's going to be over on Monday,) is that all the weather forecasts say that it's going to snow so much that there will be 1" in the financial district tomorrow morning!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YAY! (I realize that sounds really pitiful to people everywhere else in the country, but dude, I live in California. Not once have I seen snow within a 2-hour drive of where I live.) So anyways, apparently this big nation-wide storm is going to hit where I live! Wowzers! There hasn't been as much snow as the forecasts tell of in 40 years. Extremely exciting though it is; it's got to make you feel bad about global warming. (If you don't already know that global warming makes extreme weather on both sides of the thermometer, you need to do your homework.) However, this storm was supposed to have started yesterday, which it very much DID NOT, so I am not setting my expectations too high. But it's going to snow, and I haven't seen snow in over 5 years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So you want to learn Chinese

Yes, my secret talent has been revealed. I speak (not fluent) Chinese!!! Yay me!

The best part is that you too can master this foreign language. My chinese teacher has created an entire database of flash cards for every single lesson for every single grade that she teaches. They can all be accessed by clicking this link.

Unless you already know the basics, you should start by clicking "Textbook 1" in the menu, then selecting "00 Pinyin." Pinyin is like the Chinese alphabet. (Totally separate from characters; those are all memorization!) It's simply a pronunciation key for characters. They have the same letters, but entirely different sounds. B is like "booah", Q is like "chee," and so on. Listen to the alphabet song, it's very helpful.

Anyways, all the lessons other than 00 Pinyin have a link that says "Flash Cards." Click it, and take the multiple choice quiz on the front page, then click "Study." Trust me, this will all make a lot more sense once you try it!

The flash cards show a character at the top. Write this character on a piece of paper, then write what you think is the pinyin, then the meaning. Click "Show answer" and see if you were right! Once you get through all the cards, try again! This time click "Reverse cards" and read the pinyin and meaning and write the character!

Of course I also use textbooks and worksheets and what-not, but this is a good start! So try it!

Snow Day!

Some background: Basically where I am living is under a giant snow storm. There is wind and snow and it is really cool. The maximum of snow that might fall in the night is 31 inches, the minimum being 18!!! For some more info go to : CLICK! or CLICK!

I am so excited because there is going to be a snow day tomorrow at school! My school hasn't had a snow day in fifteen years! We broke the record! It was fantastic! My teacher didn't know , and when I walked out into the hallway it was so chaotic! Everybody was screaming and I was wondering what was going on. I first noticed that all the big brothers and sisters were in the hallway waiting for us, then I noticed the storm outside... it was amazing! There was so much wind it looked like a tornado had hit and the snow was everywhere. I could barely see across the field! Then I heard someone yell "Snow day!" and everyone went crazy! Everyone was screaming and yelling and hugging: it looked a bit like a soap opera where 59 people (my grade's size) just heard that a dying patient was alive. I joined the party and yelled my fair share. Then, my friend appeared and she said "I just went outside: OMG! It is so windy and snowing, it is crazy!" I asked her if I could go out with her again and I ran down the stairs to the field, it was so cool! At first it actually seemed quite pleasant, we were under a small roof outside and I could just watch the whirlwind from afar... Then a giant gust of wind got flung in my face and I almost fell down. My friend and I decided that well, maybe it was time to go in... We got back and suddenly a million sledding or hanging out plans were whirling around the hallway and I got invited to so many things. After that I hugged all my friends, and said that I had to go, because I needed to get home fast before the traffic gets too bad to drive in. Then I ran down the hallway and I quickly got in the car for a 30 minute drive home, instead of a five minute drive! It was really cool!

It depends how you pronounce it! Most people say "to anyone," but the band actually calls itself "21,". Either way, 2ne1 is a South Korean band that is really famous in Asia. They're like Lady Gaga there. They have a very unique style (just look at them!) and their names are (in order based on the picture,) Minzy, Bom, Dara, and CL. Their music is a bit weird, but cool at the same time. My favorite songs of theirs is Fire. It's the kind of thing you either love or you hate, but I definitely love it. Take a look!

I love flowers tooooooo! They are so elegant and beautiful. I love the different types. I love when you walk past a garden and the fragrant smells wafts into your senses, then you look over the quiet fence and inside there is a palace of delicate flowers. In general I LOVE FLOWERS!!!!!!! I wonder what flowers I will have at my wedding, my mum had white roses, I like that, but I wanted lilies. The problem with that is that lilies mean death... So now I might want honeysuckle, lavender, white roses, or maybe pink roses. In conclusion, I love flowers and ya. I love them. Deeply.

Hello, people! I love flowers. They're so weird, how they have no brain, but yet they move. My personal favorite flower is the white anemone. They're so elegant--white with a black center. I always thought that would be the perfect wedding theme, besides death. Or blood. Anyways, if I had to choose a colorful flower, it would have to be your average red rose. They're so striking, yet delicate. Other flowers I love are the iris (for obvious reasons) and hydrangeas (especially blue ones.)

Hey guys, I felt like telling you that me and Isobel are working on developing a movie!!!!!!!!!! It started out as a story expressed (almost) entirely in emoticons, so it will be pretty weird. Isobel came up with most of the plot, but we're working together on it. We're still just beginning (I just finished a spreadsheet with all the characters names in it) and it's pretty top secret so I can't share anything, but who knows! Maybe when we're all adults and this movie has won a thousand oscars and we're all millionaires you'll ALL know the story by heart! I don't doubt that will happen, it's very good.

I love and celebrate Christmas (it's awesome!!!) but Isobel already wrote about that (look under this post) so I'm going to take on.... NEW YEARS!!!

In the words of The Simpsons, New Years is the day of paying for decisions you will forever regret. Whether this means paying $1000 for a cleaning crew to come take care of your living room after last night's party, or making a New Year's Resolution to metaphorically clean up the mess you've made on this planet, you just have to do SOMETHING. What I suggest:

Hunt down the evil El Grincho (the real grinch,)

#3 Find a piece of mistletoe... (very fun, you can scare people with it if your not in the mood to kiss!)

#2 Don't put gifts under the tree, on Christmas morning everyone will think someone stole their presents.

This glorious magazine, called "Say Cheese," has actually been publicized for a year. However, it is only being published 4 times a year! This is simply because it is unpopular, but it can now be found in most magazine vendors, such as bookstore chains like Borders, Barnes & Noble, and Books, Inc. I hope everyone had a splendid Thanksgiving! ANd if it was not lovely and delightful, then maybe these ideas to have fun will help you next time.

Games to Play:

1. Say you have to go to the bathroom, take some food with you secretly and hide it somewhere, repeat until the food on the table is mostly gone. People will wonder where the food went and what that bad smell is!

2. Stare people down at the table. When they ask someone what you're doing, look away. It may sound immature, but it is so fun!!!

3. Take the pie and throw it in someone's face/ start a food fight!!

4. Take hold of the turkey, put it on your hand and pretend it is real. "Well hello Mr. Turkey" "Greeting Ms. Isobel, how are you?" "Quite fine, you?" "Well besides the part that I am slowly being demolished , I'm wonderful!"

5. Imagine everyone at your table having the heads of the food your eating. It is great fun!

Tips for Decorations:

1. Put pumpkins... EVERYWHERE!

2. Create a cute diorama of the first Thanksgiving and Thanksgiving today. If you don't have that much time, stick some lego people in a sloppy forest and house drawing. Or not.

3. Put orange candles everywhere

4. Put pretend turkeys on window ledges. Or buy a couple live ones as pets.

5. Have really cool plates and festive tableware.

Getting into the Spirit Tips:

1. Scream on the streets "Hail The Turkey!!!"

2. Hide in a box with a turkey.

This is my pop culture post! I will right them every now and then, just to see how the world changes. Today I am doing talk shows. In the future I plan to do Sitcoms, Music, Movies, and Books, among other things.

TALK SHOWS:

Good: The Oprah Show. It may sound like a ball of cheese, but everyone interviewed is very interesting and I never turn off the TV without having learned something. Plus, I find Oprah's story inspirational and amazing. This is the show to watch if you want to actually pay attention!

O.K: Ellen. She's very funny and entertaining, but only for a little while. The people she interviews are mostly great, but not as good as on Oprah. If you're trying to listen to something while on the computer or whatever, this is probably a good choice.

Bad:That show on ABC Family called like "Family, Work, Religion." I find it kind of stereotypical, to be honest. I've only seen it a couple times, but every time I found it not very interesting. I overall wouldn't recommend it.

Today is the end of Hannah Montana. She will reveal her secret to the world, give up Hannah Montana and go into college. WOW! I don't exactly like Hannah Montana, but it was such I cultural milestone for kids. I had this obsession with her when I was little, so I am dedicated today, Sunday, Nov. 7 to Hannah Montana. I am singing her music (which is funny because I know every lyric) and I am definitely going to watch the finale. I think I'm gonna cry!

I wonder what she will do after Hannah Montana, it may take a will for her to break out of her childish reputation, but I don't know if she has a good enough voice to be a star or if she will just fade away into nothing...

I hope you all will watch the episode because after all these years I think she deserves it!

Here are 5 tips in categories to use for your halloween fun!

Games to Play With Candy:

1. Trading candy for candy

2. See how much candy you can shove into your mouth with yours friends in 1 minute

3. Open your widow and when somebody come to trick or treat throw candy at them

4. If you have too much, go outside and throw all your candy on the pavement see how long it is until everything is gone.

5. Hide your candy around the house, whenever you have an emergency suger-low you can immediately cure yourself before you die from LOC (lack of candy)

Tips for decorations

1. Be creative. I have a head on a chopping board next to a saw with a rat on top.

2. Red eyes and bats go perfectly.

3. Put decorations on assortments of levels. Hang them, put them on tables, have them scrambling on the floor etc.

4. Put things on your widow.

5. Be gory. Be disgusting. Sure kids might start screaming and have nightmares for the rest of there lives and need to go to counseling. You know what Sue says (glee) halloween IS fear! Mwah ha ha!

Halloween Party tips

1. Go old-school. Bobbing for apples is great fun

2. Put on creepy halloween techno music, it will get people away from the normal idiotic pop music.

3. Serve food in the shape of body parts.

4. Get cool napkins!

Getting into the spirt tips

1. Decorate your house. Mega. Make it the house of horror.

2. Watch Rocky Horror Picture Show!!

3. Sit down. Make it pitch black. Get a flashlight. Start telling ghost stories. The best are ones about ice cream trucks, masks, turning people into stone, axes, swinging in a playground alone, clowns and barbies.

4. Start screaming.

5. Scare people. Get yourself scared. Trust me. It feels great!

Lime Jelly!

This is a recipe for gelatin-free lime jelly. To be perfectly honest it was supposed to come out fruit jellies but I made a few critical mistakes in the process. It ended up great, though! Just not what I expected.

I'm going to put down the recipe I tried to use, but also add in my mistakes so you can either make fruit jellies or fruit jelly. Oddly this recipe for Lime Jellies involves more applesauce then lime juice, but it still tastes quite limey!

INGREDIENTS:

2 1/2 cups of sugar

the juice of 4 limes

the zest of 2 limes

1 1/2 cups applesauce (it's important the applesauce you use is unsweetened.)

for jellies 2 teaspoons powdered pectin, for the jelly 4 teaspoons liquid pectin.

Now this is the voice of experience talking: Don't use the wrong pectin!!! It can seriously affect your food if you do. The hard thing is most grocery stores only sell one kind. If this is so, then DO go to the trouble of finding the right kind. And if you end up buying the wrong thing, DON'T use some stupid "pectin conversion chart" from the internet like I did. Again, voice of experience.

The rest is fairly simple, however you do need a candy thermometer. If you are like me and really enjoy cooking and candy one of these is a good investment. It's somewhat critical to the making of ALL candies.

First is simple, combine the applesauce and lime juice in a medium deep saucepan. Now in a small bowl combine 1/2 a cup of sugar and the pectin, whatever kind. Now clip on the candy thermometer and mix them together until they reach 225 degrees Fahrenheit. If you don't have one of these dealies then wait until it boils. Keep mixing! While doing so add the remaining sugar (2 cups,) and then add the lime zest. Now pour into a buttered 8x8" brownie pan and let sit for a minimum of 2 hours. (NOTE: 8x8" is what I used. But be prepared for it to come out about an inch thick.) Once solid, sprinkle A LOT of sugar on top. If you're making jelly, you're done by now! If it's the candy jellies you seek, slice it into squares, dredge in sugar, and leave on a cooling rack overnight. :(

I have just recently discovered the wonderful world of GLEE! I love it sooooooooooooooooooo much, I have watched (so far) all of the season two episodes and eight of the season one. I started watching the ones that came out, but then wanted to catch up, so I bought the season two set and am working my way through all the episodes (yesterday I watched four and 1/2 glee episodes)! I am completely obsessed... I love Puck, Will, Finn, Quinn, Mercedes and, Kurt, Tina, Rachel, Sue, Emma and Arty. So basically I love all the characters. Do you like glee?

Hey! I just went to county fair, (a giant fair at my school) and it was so fun! I got face paint, sang in front of the whole school, won a cake on (musical squares with cake) sold trivia questions, pet rabbits, sheep, geese, ducks, chickens and goats, bought a t-shirt, donated to a charity, won candy, jumped over walls, bought a cookie and did many more marvelous and spectacular things.

Hi everybody, I just read this really amazing book called Camilla by Madeliene L'engle. It was definitely one of the best books of all time. At school we're doing a project where we read a book and write, memorize and perform a "book talk" trying to advertise the book. We were given a series of choices by 3 authors, and I chose this one because the cover looked very interesting. I'm glad I did! Another day at school I felt like reading, but I left my copy at home so I went to the library and looked for it. They had another copy, but it was a different version. And I was surprised! It was absolutely tiny, like, 5 inches tall 3 1/2 inches wide, and the cover was SO lame. I know not to judge a book by it's cover, but seriously, I never would have chosen to read this book for my project if they had chosen to display that copy instead of the one I took. Never! And then I had (as Oprah would call it,) and A-HA moment. A book is the same book even if it has a different (and much lamer) cover! I will never walk into a library or book store the same way ever again.

But the point still stands. The picture on the left is Pic. #1, the one on the right is Pic. #2. I want you to decide which one you think is better, just because I'm curious. The way to vote will be Ala the poll on the left, and please do!

Besides Camilla, I am currently reading two other different, but very good books. Again, one has a just OK cover and the other has a brilliant one. The books are Savvy and Out of My Mind. I don't remember the authors' names, though. Savvy is about a girl who's family all earn magical powers when they turn 13, and this girl thinks hers could save her father who's in a coma from a major car crash. Out of My Mind is about a brilliant girl whom everyone thinks is retarded because she has cerebral palsy.

“Today is as if it is a new beginning,”
Stacy had said.
“When we can rise from the ashes of the old like a phoenix, and blossom as the new, the improved, the beginning of change.”
I loved poetry, both writing and reading it, but I found no poet could say something greater or more powerful then my sister Stacy’s words.
“If our brethren at birth were to witness the sins of mankind since the creation, the change would be a crown upon our heads.”
Her words were completely un-religious, because, as Stacy had said, “Religion is the belief of belief. It is what brings us together and pulls us apart. If we have no religion and face the real world, we are together in our strengths and our battles.”...
“The skies have eyes blurred from the vision of everything we do...”
So true, Stacy, so true...
“So evil, so good, so inappropriate yet blissfully satisfying is the emptiness of hope, that we surrender our souls to the forces of trust in the horrid, shameful being of truth. It is in this being that our minds, however wishful or forceful, can not make the body do anything. In the sight of the audacity of normality, we shrivel up into the cold, and are left to die in the knowledge of our past actions being so wrong.

It had happened on a hot Sunday morning. I had been at home, just doing my thing at home on the computer. I got a phone call from Stacy. As I answered she only said:

“Kitty, Come here now. You’re gonna want to see this.

I found it kind of odd. My sister was a very peaceful person, recently turned 21. She had graduated from Harvard, right near our home town Boston. At the time she had rented an apartment in our neighborhood for the summer. It was a pretty small place, but all she could afford. She had been working on a book, but she kept all her writing to herself until she was done with it, so none of us knew what it was about. She was funny and fashionable, musical and smart. Although we had a 9 year age difference, we were always so close.
I told my mom I got a call from Stacy and I was going over to her place, nothing more. My mom agreed easily to let me go. What could go wrong?
I left the house at about 10:30, and arrived at Stacy’s boring gray apartment building at roughly 10:45. I tried to use the intercom, but I got no answer. So I used the spare key that Stacy had given me to let myself in.
I walked up 2 flights of stairs (I had a grudge against the elevator,) and knocked on the door of apartment 3C. Nobody. I tried the door bell. Nothing. I used her key to let myself in, praying she wasn’t dead or something.
And alas, the place was empty.
I looked in all four rooms, the bedroom, the bathroom, the sitting room and the kitchen. She was not there.
I looked back in her bedroom. On top of her desk was a piece of yellow lined paper with a message in her handwriting reading:

Dear Kitty,

I’m sorry I may have deceived you with my call. I hope that you aren’t mad at me, because that would end our relationship on a bad note.
I’m going on a trip. I don’t really no where, or what I will do there. But I do know that you will see me again one day. Probably not for years in the future. But one day.
I don’t know life is about, nor do I know about people. But I think that soon I will figure it out.
Before I leave, I want you to know this much:
Embrace life. Nothing is going to be what you expect, and it’s better that way. At least you know it will all be a surprise.
I don’t want others to read this letter, only you. However, it would be unfair to leave the others with no form of farewell, so I want you to give them this poem;
Today is as if it is a new beginning.
We can rise from the ashes of the old like a phoenix, and blossom as the new, the improved, the beginning of change.
If our brethren at birth were to witness the sins of mankind since the creation, the change would be a crown upon our heads.
The skies have eyes blurred from the vision of everything we do...
So evil, so good, so inappropriate yet blissfully satisfying is the emptiness of hope, that we surrender our souls to the forces of trust in the horrid, shameful being of truth. It is in this being that our minds, however wishful or forceful, can not make the body do anything. In the sight of the audacity of normality, we shrivel up into the cold, and are left to die in the knowledge of our past actions being so wrong.
And that’s what lets us live in the future a better way.
I know that if no one else, you, Kitty, will understand this poem. After all, you always do.

I didn’t cry. I didn’t scream. I just sat down in the desk chair, my jaw dropped, and was frozen. Absolutely paralyzed. And I knew, right then, that Stacy was dead. Gone. I would never see her face again. I would never hear her words again. She was just... Perished. Away, and never to return again.
I think I sat there for about 5 minutes, and then I got up, stuffed the letter into my pocket, and walked back home, locking her door on my way.
It didn’t make sense. Her letter was very clear, she was gone. But the poem was even more obvious; she wanted to know about the afterlife, and she made it her passion to figure it out. But why would someone do something like that, even if they have thoroughly convinced themselves they will not actually die? How could my sister actually believe that she wasn’t really dead? Why did she do it?
There was a reason, and I was about to find out.

When I arrived home my mother was in the kitchen, making something in her brand new remodeled kitchen, which was as fancy as all get-out. Since Mom was a professional chef for a living, she had to make the sacrifice of no kitchen for 6 months for the prize of a beautiful one for the rest of her time in this house.
I walked into the house and took off my shoes, moving into the kitchen.
“You’re back early,” Mom said. “What was going on?” Without even thinking, I immediately responded, “Oh the usual we said hi watched tv. gotta go bye” at a speed of about 100 mph, and then I ran out of the room just as fast.
I had been planning on telling Mom about Stacy, but for some reason I just couldn’t do it. I mean all I had to say was that Stacy wasn’t at home and give her the poem, but for some reason it seemed impossible. I don’t know why, but I couldn’t face telling Mom what had happened. I knew it wasn’t my fault, but I felt afraid of what my own mother would think.
A couple of minutes later Mom found me in the living room with the tv playing a rerun of Project Runway. I was lying down on the couch just staring at it, completely without thought. Mom set a platter of cookies down on the coffee table and sat on the other couch, looking at me oddly. I didn’t move my eyes from the tv.
“Excuse me, Kitty,”She said. Mom knew something was wrong. “Look, what’s going on? Something is wrong, and I have a right to know.”
I sighed. I pulled out of my pocket the letter and detached the poem. “Why not?” I thought to myself. “This is what Stacy told you to do.” And with that, I handed her the poem. Being the speed-reader she is, she read it in a matter of seconds. “What does it mean?” She whispered. “I said,” She said again, a bit louder this time, “what does it mean?” She stared at me. There was no avoiding it. I always understood her poems, even when my own mother couldn’t at all. But who was I to tell my mother that her own daughter died?
With a gulp, I told her everything, ending with “I’m sorry, but Stacy is dead.”
Mom did not reply. She just looked at the floor and then back at the poem, back at the floor, and finally out the window.

A block of time that I have purposely faded out of my memory passed, and before I knew it, I was at her funeral.
She had always wanted to be wrapped up in cloth and buried in a grass field of any kind, so she could return to nature, “myself, one and whole, where I used to be, and where I shall be for the rest of my own eternity.” She had said that in one of her later poems. I felt so horrible reading her work that I hadn’t seen the suicidal clues. It made me feel stupid. She had been that way all along. I could see that now.
Of course, complications for her funeral had arisen since we didn’t find her body. It, again made me feel stupid because obviously we were supposed to be able to find her, or else she wouldn’t have made the requests she made. In the end Mom and Dad made the executive decision to stop trying to search for her and just have her ceremony in the Rose Ponds, her favorite place, but if we ever did find her body, we wouldn’t deny her of her wish. At first I was very angry at them for not working until they found her, but eventually I rounded up to my senses and let it be, for it was already several months after I had found her letter, and the time had come.
It was at the ceremony that it happened. I was just sitting in a chair, watching random people who barely knew my sister compared to me, babbling on about how she “lived a nice life,” and I couldn’t stand it. Right before what was supposed to be the ceremony’s finale, which I had spent weeks writing, practicing and preparing, I ran. I ran into the small sheaf of of forest surrounding the pond. I sat down next to the tree in front of the fountain where we had spent tiresome hot summer days swimming. I sat there crying for a little while, then I stood up contemplating what came next. As I stood up I saw a piece of paper pinned to our tree. As I looked at that paper, I suddenly understood everything. She had done it for me. It was my challenge, and having stumbled upon this note, I had completed it.
Alas, the note had but two words;
“Well done.”

right now I am kind of obsessed with shoes... Which might sound really vain or stupid or something, but shoes can be so amazing! I just got back from Burning Man (I'll right more about that later,) and it was normal burning man weather... Really hot most of the time, a couple dust storms, and one 3 hour rain storm. all of this ruined the two pairs of shoes that I brought, so my mom agreed to buy me 1-3 replacements, as long as it was pre-taxed under thirty dollars. I was stuck between one pair of short black boots, or two pairs that were slightly less awesome. I ended up getting a pair of pink flats and black high heels... I like high heels because I enjoy being tall. But anyways, shoes can be anything. that's why they're so awesome.

I have discovered the great art of cooking, and I am too far down the slope of obsession to turn back, so I am grabbing a toboggan and enjoying the ride to insanity for cooking. I just came back from London (I go every year) and on the plane I read food magazines. They are so intriguing I most definitely recommend them, and they are so useful, I learned what to grow outside in the winter, how to cook many things, that tomato seeds are extremely durable, how to preserve grown crops etc. And that came to use, when me and my mum cooked "Rose Extract Madeleines" (if you want the recipe go to http://izzsthefoodieat.blogspot.com/my other blog) The magazine I read was Jamie's Food Magazine called "Jamie." Cooking is great don't you agree?

Hi! I just wanted to post that this weekend I am going to St. Louis to go to some baseball games. Me and my dad are HUGE St. Louis Cardinals fans, and every year we drive down there together. My sister and mum don't like baseball, so it is only the two of us. I live in one of the Cardinals enemies' cities, but we keep our "faith" even though sometimes our friends urge us to "convert" and we get some dirty looks. I am looking forward to going so much!

today i went to the orthodontist and he brought horrible news... BRACES!!!!!!!!!
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (running around the room screaming,).
i have lost all of my baby teeth and i have 2 wisdom teeth... so now i "can receive treatment", meaning get horrible horrible painful horrible braces and also wearing headgear! but i don't have to wear headgear at school...but still horrible!
